about

Crooners, swooners, musical gold miners, and back-up singers de jour for many a Melbourne artist, The Ukeladies specialise in long forgotten Hawaiian inspired tunes and dreamy interpretations of more recent gems.

Starting as a delicate two-piece ukulele and harmony combo of childhood friends Amanda Roff and Maylise Dent, the group has swelled to include luminary musicians such as Clare Moore (Dave Graney) on vibraphone, percussion and merimba, Phil Kakulas (Blackeyed Susans) on double bass, Dan Luscombe (The Drones) on guitar, organ, piano and ukulele, and Manas Pandey (Offcutts) on baritone crooning, nautical impersonations and general atmosphere.

This, their debut album also features performances from talented friends Pete Luscombe, Miles Brown, Brett Poliness, Mike Noga and Lilith Lane.
